Our story...
"Hi. We are James and Lauren, award winning photographers and parents ourselves to two spirited young children, Taylor (5) and Noah (2)

Professional and friendly, we understand how life-changing those first weeks are with a newborn, so we make your photography experience with us relaxing, high quality and a memory in itself to treasure.
Our cosy studio is set up at our home in the PO2 postcode of Portsmouth (Hampshire) and by coming to us, you get the best of both worlds - a relaxing, friendly environment but still retaining that boutique "studio" quality.
We have a large collection of props, setups and colour schemes for you to choose from: from hats, wraps and headbands, to baskets, buckets and more - we have something here to suit every style and taste when it comes to capturing your special memories... in fact, we have a bit of an addiction to vintage, handmade and unique newborn props!
No two sessions or babies are alike which makes newborn photography so wonderful. Relax and enjoy a cup of tea on the sofa while we get to work. You will be in touching distance of your baby at all times and we will work with your baby’s natural rhythm during your session.
Lauren is your primary Maternity and Newborn Photographer, whilst James is your man for Milestone and Cake Smash sessions! We may both be present during your newborn session, depending on the style of your shoot and the poses required: Hands-on and supporting your baby at all times whilst they are posed to ensure comfort: Safety comes first at all times.
We look forward to meeting your family and capturing these precious moments for you in a series of fine-art, unique images you can keep close to your heart forever.

SOME RANDOM FACTS ABOUT US
Both artists and photographers, we made the decision to combine our businesses and founded Lemon Sky Photography shortly after the birth of our Son, Noah. After a rocky pregnancy, he arrived in the world in February when the floods and rain were torrential (naming him Noah felt very apt!) As we held him in our arms and the struggles of the pregnancy melted away, the dawn broke and the sky turned a cool and surreal lemon colour (as it does that time of year between the rain clouds).
Our "Lemon Sky" moment became deep and meaningful to us, it was only fitting we named our beautiful little business after it!
• Lauren used to sail the seven seas with captain hook and lived next door to Mickey Mouse and Cinderella... She worked for Disney cruise lines for years as an entertainer and adores working with children.
• James is a certified and trained counciller and C.B.T specialist
• Lauren has had two solo art exhibitions, each lasting 2 weeks solid
• James is a singer-songwriter and has several albums published on iTunes. Search James Tippins to have a listen to his dulcet tones.
